In this four week summer course, we will read and discuss Pinay authored literary works.
I am a poet, not a scholar. I approach literature as a literary practitioner, and as a fangirl reader. Therefore, let’s indulge in the craftsmanship of the work, the attention to form, language, and tone. And let’s read and discuss Pinay Lit, using frames other than those imposed upon us by western literary scholarship and white supremacy. For example, let’s consider the frames of Filipino Core Values and Pinayism.
In order to accommodate the high levels of community interest, I’ll be holding two sessions of 40 members, four weeks each session.
- Session 1: May 20, May 27, June 03, and June 10 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm Pacific Time
- Session 2: June 17, June 24, July 01, and July 08 from 6:30 to 9:30 pm Pacific Time
- $100 (students/limited or low income)
- $200 (general)
After registration, you will receive link/online class information via email.
