Description
In this two-week Filipina/x-Centric Poetry Workshop, we will read Filipina/o/x poetry, create writing prompts and generate new work. We will all offer feedback to one another in this small sized class of no more than five or six poets.
I am interested in carving out spaces where Filipina/x concerns — however we each continue to define these — can be centered, excavated, and strengthened, while keeping our ears and eyes on poetic forms, musics/musicality, language.
Who should apply: Filipina/x-indentified writers, some experience in writing poetry. It is OK if you do not think you have a lot of knowledge about Filipino history, culture, and language.
